Advocacy

An advocacy service has been in place since 2007. Advocacy enables one’s voice to be heard. In a nursing home context advocacy empowers residents to speak out about the things which impact upon their lives and prevent them from realizing their full potential. By working under the direction and with the consent of residents the advocate can enable these barriers to be overcome. The advocacy service works through a number of streams including:
