Although the décor reflects contemporary themes, the Grove continues to retain the ambience of a large stately home with a number of comfortable lounges and reading areas overlooking spectacular views of Dublin Bay, the Wicklow Mountains and Shanganagh Vale. The magnificent Victorian gardens are carefully maintained to complement the unique characteristics of the home

Nutrition
The importance of nutrition is now firmly recognised in holistic care nutrition and we place significant emphasis upon offering menu options which are balanced and healthy and address the preferences of residents. Choices are offered at all sittings while menu cycles are continuously updated and expanded. Special dietary and medically based requirements are also specifically accommodated as our chefs have considerable experience in these areas. Refreshments and light snacks are always available.
History
Killiney Grove Nursing Home is a 19th century mansion which was closely associated with the O’Mara’s; a colourful family who were involved with the founding of the State and De Valera’s Government. Their grandson, Dr. Lavelle was a resident of The Grove and often recalled stories about the great parties and social occasions which were celebrated in the ballroom and the billiard room. The Grove was acquired by Silver Stream in 1999 and extensively refurbished.
Our Location
Killiney Grove is located on Killiney Hill Road, near Killiney Village in South County Dublin. It is serviced by Bus No 59 from Dunlaoire and is about twelve minutes walk from Killiney Dart Station. It is also close to the Cherry Wood exit on the M50 southbound.
