Residents Committee
Each home has a residents committee which meets on a 4-6 weekly basis. Suggestions which residents have in relation to activities, outdoor trips, menu preferences and other services are brought to the attention of the home management. Concerns or challenges which residents may also have are discussed and an action plan if necessary is implemented. Usually matters can be resolved by making representations on behalf of the committee to the Direction of Nursing.
The committee also acts as a beacon for those residents who may not be able to attend the meetings.
